Rev Dial & BCS Exhaust question

Hi guys, it's been a while. I'm starting to get used to the Stage 1 power and I'm investigating the Stage 2 options now.

I've tried searching the net for some info but not much luck. Is there anyone in the know that can explain the difference between the BCS Sport and Prestige system?

Sports System
Prestige System

As far as I'm understanding the Prestige offers less cabin noise? If so, this would be the system for me. As silly as it sounds I'd prefer to reduce the cabin noise as much as possible. Still toying with getting it installed locally or making the long trip down to BCS.

Second query; I've had this felt 'tab' sticking out since I bought the car, thoughts on getting rid? Cutting it carefully or getting it tucked away by removing the cover? I'm useless with DIY stuff so not too keen on it!

On another note, sportlines and triple r splitter are on their way  Cannot wait.

Any opinions greatly appreciated.

I've recently had the BCS cat back put on my Cupra R and I can't for the life of me remember which way round the systems are but one has a 6inch silencer and the other has a 5inch one they will tell you if you give them a ring they are great at BCS very helpful and there service it top quality.

Cheers for the reply mate, from the description the Prestige offers a bigger silencer. I wasn't sure if that was the only difference or not.

I've made my mind up that I'll be going for a BCS exhaust after reading reviews and seeing it on some of the build threads. I've seen nothing but good things written about them. :)

Yea I think it is just the silencer that's the difference I had a milltek on my Cupra before I brought the R and the BCS exhaust is leagues ahead in the way of quality so you won't be disappointed.

I suspect the felt "tab" you are referring to has been inserted by a previous owner to stop a squeak or rattle of which Seat are experts at fitting! Remove it by all means but be prepared to put it back !

That's what I want to hear! Just got to get enough funds for this and an intake.

I think you're right, I suspected it is part of some bumper/padding to stop parts rubbing together. Might as well just get rid and hope for the best. Cheers!

i asked BCS the same question the other day

My understanding was

Prestige - Quiet one
Sport - Louder one

And i think

The Powervalve Sport is the loudest of them all, But also quiet when not on boost

Nice one thanks guys.

AJB I was reading your build thread this morning, did you get the 100c DP from BCS or was that another make? The car's looking good :)

The sportlines have arrived just this second, can't wait for the splitter and get them on.

its an ebay special downpipe (think there about £150 new), i then got Alex@AKS to cut it up and re-weld it, he fitted a new flexi-hose as the original one was quite small. He was happy with the CAT and welding so left it as it was

I've just had the full BCS Sport system fitted. It's quiet during normal driving (though you can hear it in the cabin whereas you couldn't with the standard exhaust) and you get a fair bit more noise on boost. Nothing extreme though and no irritating drone on the motorway for example
