Hi guys if i was to up the rev limit on a 16v abf engine currently as good as standard how high will the abf lump go before it goes bang? What would a sensible limit be or should i not change it from standard?

I think the bottom end is safe for 7500rpm, thats what I have read somewhere before..... I can only see a point of upping your limiter if you have done some engine work, cams, p&p head, etc.... mine rev's to 7400rpm.

I know F2 Stu is 8500rpm or around that and Rob T's 9000+rpm I think but they both got a lot of work done.
