No it doesn't, 1.4 only has 85ps. Don't confuse it with the previous Ibiza's engine, this one is different.

TarekElsakka, no need to feel bad. A friend has the same car as yours and although it's not race car fast, it does feel faster than it really is, mainly due to its well selected gear ratios. He could have gotten a 1.2 TSI for the same money and horsepower (and much more torque) but didn't want a turbo for some reason.

I'm sorry mate, didn't mean to make you feel like that. It surprises me because the smallest engine they offered a León with around here is the 1.4 TSI, so I'm quite serious when I say I can't imagine how that car would perform with an engine like yours. And I'm still wondering...

It's alright, mate. I honestly don't understand why they didn't release the Leon with a 1.4 TSi here, I am pretty sure it's not that much more expensive. I mean they offer the Jetta and Passat with 1.4 TSi over here and they did offer the 1.4 TSi Golf Mk6 at one point but it didn't sell much if any so they stopped. Perhaps that's why SEAT is hesitant about it. I'd have definitely went for it if it wasn't much more expensive, I can assure you.

I agree with you. Although it's a 1.6, it definitely performs better than most, if not all, of the 1.6 cars I've driven and/or raced, and yes, I believe that comes down to the DSG gearbox as well. My friend has a 1.2 TSi Ibiza ST, which is the only SEAT model offered with a TSi engine, but I don't like it at all and from driving both it and the 1.6 SEAT Ibiza, I can definitely say the 1.6 Ibiza is better in overall performance (stability, handling, etc.) except the 0-60 rates. When looking at Egyptian roads and how screwed up and dangerous they are to drive on, the 0-60 rate should be the least of your concerns but at the same time more and more companies are starting to offer turbo-charged cars so I don't understand why SEAT isn't.

I have been seriously considering a remap lately. The car won't gain much and will probably not be noticeable at all since it's naturally aspirated, but then again even the placebo effect might do, haha!

By the way, is there a difference between remapping and chip tuning? Chip tuning is available over here and pretty popular, and one of the most popular companies that produces chips is evolution UK or something.

Definitely worth doing.

And yes there is a difference.

Chip tuning means that the ecu is physically opened up and a specific chip is replaced with a tuned chip.

Remapping means that the software file on the ecu is updated to an edited tuned file, can usually be carried out directly via the obd port.
