Reverse Camera Wiring

Hi,

I have a Seat Leon FR ST 2018. I am trying to work out how to wire an AUTO-VOX reverse camera. Popular suggestions state that I should connect to the reverse light wiring. The reverse light has 2 brown wires connected. Can I connect the reverse light wires to any of them?

Wouldnt have thought so, as they are part of the can bus system. Its not like on older cars with straight relays and 12v to the lights.

Looks like you can but will need a signal rectifier to stabilize the pulse voltages/ interferance of the can bus system. Does it come with it standard ? . If so yes you can tap into the voltage cable and get ground of the body work near light.

Got my reversing camera on 2019 Cupra ST fully integrated by East Yorkshire Retrofits . Self fitted a rear Garmin dash cam mini with parking mode cable that required both battery and aux/ignition, I decided against tapping any of the rear lights and just ran it down the headliner trim into the front passenger fusebox.
