Ah perfect, Ill crack on with this and see if D can be fitted - only thing Im worried about is messing up the wiring changes - does anyone have experience figuring out what wires to splice or replace in the plug.
That kit looks like there's no splicing into existing wiring. Looks like you just unplug the main loom block plug from the MIB unit and put the cameras loom inbetween. Quite simple!Ah perfect, Ill crack on with this and see if D can be fitted - only thing Im worried about is messing up the wiring changes - does anyone have experience figuring out what wires to splice or replace in the plug.
from what I have read, some people install such a camera https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/4000708940177.htmlHas anyone else fitted one of these from ae ?
Seems a lot cheaper than in the uk (prices ive seen are about 250) but does say it needs coding in.from what I have read, some people install such a camera https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/4000708940177.html
I ordered it. From what I've read, sometimes it works after connecting, and sometimes you have to use VCDSSeems a lot cheaper than in the uk (prices ive seen are about 250) but does say it needs coding in.
Anyone know what this involves as I want a reversing camera due to the stupid tints on my back windscreen making it almost impossible to see unless I rest the brake lights on
For the highline camera, there are connections to the can network at the radio connection, plus there is a connection to the steering angle sensor at the BCM which allows the lines on screen to move with the steering wheel. There is a power lead to the camera, and a video lead that runs to the radio.Seems a lot cheaper than in the uk (prices ive seen are about 250) but does say it needs coding in.

Coding is needed in can gateway (to tell car that a camera module is fitted), also coding needed in the steering angle sensor module and also the infotainment module to allow display, and integration with the park pilot already in the car. Be aware that the camera will then work fine, but will throw an error code up until the camera module is properly calibrated, and being a non-genuine camera unit, calibration might not be possible with VCDS (as I found with mine)
Yep, seen that previously....but the security access code of 20103 does not open the camera module, so unable to calibrateI did not had any issues with the non-genuine part. But yes, it gives me an error in VCDS saying the camera is missing its basic setting.
If you search for VAS6350 pdf you can actually download the PDF on full scale and theres a manual here to calibrate. https://ddm.se/Kufatec_genuine_VAG_back-up_camera_installation_Passat_CC.pdf
Never tried it, because its working fine without![]()
