I have a 1.4 16v and wondered if a Revo remap is possible. I know AmD offer a remap, except I'm aware that SEAT garages offer a remap and wondered if they would do one for my car. I'm hoping that it I get it done by the garage it would get the warrenty on the engine intact.

i wouldnt bother, without sounding like a **** it wont make much of a difference. Only gain is really seen on turbo and supercharged cars

Hmm, I know it's only a small gain, but a gain non the less. I don't see why they would offer it if it didn't make a noticeable difference. I've read it makes the power output smoother and the throttle feel more responsive.

Good shout to see if it could be done! But then there is still the possibility of SEAT not offering the service. If I did get the remap would that invalidate the engine warrenty or the ECU warrenty? If you know at all!

It would invalidate the parts it's on/replaced and possibly any part that works with it

since when were remaps about bhp increase?

Its about smoothing the power lines, it might not get much more power but it might help you get more accross the rev range.

Don't know about where or who.can do it, but.I have my 1.4 ibiza re-mapped.
Was noticeable to start with but obo got used to it now.

It felt like it picked up better and it reduced some of the flat spots.
I.only had mine done as my.cousin did it cheap for me :p

When I emailed revo last year they said they had no intention what so ever to do one.

However, if you do actually type in on google remap for seat ibiza 1.4 85bhp, you can actually find independant companies who do them.

If you have the spare money do it, if you have to save etc hardly any point on an n/a unless you have alot of breathing mods to go with it! Thats my opinion anyway.

Pop down to amd and see what they say

My dealer said that getting a remap done by revo doesn't affect the warranty as seat are sponsors of revo and some seat garages don't do it (like mine) so I have to go to a revo shop to do it

Probably get 1bhp from it, be a little bit smoother, delivery might be nicer, do it if you want but I'd never touch an N/A car!

Yea - You will literally get 1/2bhp from a 1.4 N/A though. Not worth 300 quid or whatever imo. mpg won't change much either.
