Also the there is a difference between revo turned off and stock seat code, i know i had revo disabled for about 2 weeks then reflashed back and it was noticeably different when flashed back to stock.

adaption wont have reset on switching, reflashing would have (I think)

I had a new turbo, cat and downpipe fitted, they even took it out for a drive afterwards and reported a "little overboosting" I said its ok id sort it and warranty sorted everything. unless you are in the habit of remap kicking (a bit like tyre kicking) its never going to be a problem, why would you get a revo trial with no intention of buying, theres plenty of dynos and comments giving you a an insight into which remap is for you.

a certain ddealership near the west midlands is well known throughout the dealership network to revo their carsand sell them without telling the customers. so i have heard without wanting to get sued or anything

That's a little harsh IMO.

The revo site says that the trial of their software last 5 hours.

Well after those 5 hours you are still using Revo's software.

Whilst they have cleverly worded the "returns to factory level perfomance" part, there is no escaping the fact that it's a little misleading.

Possibly a bit harshly put, granted. (read the rest of this as though it were spoken calmly and nicely!)

My personal take is that as we spend a lot of hard earned buying our cars, why wouldn't we fully investigate this if its important to us. I'd never take the text in a site at its word but I don't think that Revo have set out to mislead on this.

Previous to my Leon I had an Audi S3 and went for the trial. My first question to the tuner (Big Boys Toys in Lakeside, Thurrock) was to ask what exactly happens inside the ECU at expiry time ? He told me that everything reverts to the stock program (which I don't think is a Revo program) but that the code remains there, dormant. He also warned that if I were then to go to AMD for their tuning software that they may have to remove this code first to create the memory to upload theirs! Needless to say, I was back in Thurrock the next day for Revo proper and SPS!! (plus Samco intake hoses as mine kept sucking in and collapsing)

The Audi did 15k in my hands with Revo and my Leon FR TDi has covered 24k Revo'd both with no trouble with the car or dealers (except that at 29k I've killed the clutch on the Leon and am due for the new Allards plate to be fitted this weekend).
