dont take it to the seat dealers in wakefield, last time I took mine there they were absolutely hopeless and charged me 60 quid to try and diagnose my wheel bearing type noise, just to tell me that 'it might be the tyres, we cant tell'..... absolute pirates!

Throttle stays open - still !

This si really annoying me now. Changed he clutch switch, cleaned ou the TB, checked for leaks, even changed the plugs back to originals (had Iridium). Still the revs rise when try to change up. If I try to grt off the line quickly I can get second gear engaged before the engine revs out -- anyone geot anymore ideas??

cheers

Any luck on this? Mine is doing this and I've changed the clutch switch too which has helped a lot.

Now, on fast gear changes and I think when the car loses traction, it revs all the way across. Only really seen in 1st->2nd.

Changed the clutch fluid and this helped a bit, but the problem remains. Dont always feel in control when i really want to put my foot down through first & second, am really out of ideas on this one now, thinking of selling up, which is a shame.

I had the issue with revs when changing gear and it was the clutch pedal switch in the end.

I have the same issue, I've ordered a new clutch pedal switch, also when revving the car in neutral, at about 2000rpm, the revs stick and then drop after a second or two, is that related to the same issue

It could be, i dont remember if i had the revs sticking when in neutral i think it was only when changing gears using the clutch but it was a while ago and no longer have car.

Ahh right fair enough, just realised that the thread was from 2009! Is it easy to access the clutch pedal switch?

Its 4 torx screws to remove the panel under the sterring wheel, 2 at the lower front and 2 on the side then the panel pulls out at the top, remove the 2 connectors for lighting switches.

You should then see the clutch switch which I'm guessing removes the same as the brake switch with a 45 degree turn anti-clockwise.
