The only required hardware for APR stage 2 is a downpipe with sports cat or decat, but an intake will help. I noticed the difference with APR stage 1 when I fitted Evoms intake.

APR use to do a free software trial, so many days then the ecu resets back to the original software. Get intouch with your locate dealer and find out if it's still available. If they still do it you'll be able to test it, that might help you make your mind up.

Manchester (Awesome GTI) is the closest to me mate, quite far to go for a free trial like, may as well wait a bit longer and bite the bullet!!!

Only if you had known when you went to BCS you could of gone for the trial at Awesome as they aren't that far apart.

You know mate, I nearly dropped into Awesome on the way back home as it was only 25 mins from BCS!!!! But I didn't think it would be worth the trip just to have a look about, because I didn't know if they'd have any parts in etc etc

Yeah no joke! It was the 'S' spec too which is the lowest one! Previous owner was europcar so I doubt they would have paid to have it put in!

dont be silly and go stage 2 it wont hurt

If you have a bit to travel to get the software installed go straight to stage 2, then your saving on fuel to get there and the labour cost of installing the free software upgrade.

I thought I was going to have to travel to Awesome, but found out theres a place 10 miles from me :O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hadnt even heard of them and theyve done work on some unreal cars.

Yeah my cupra just felt quicker as it was 2+ which made 367 bhp i know the rs4 quicker on take off and does 180plus mph lol but it a different power if you know what i mean.
