hi everyone, as ive posted recently, ive just bought another cupra mk1, previous owner has fitted a koni coilover kit -ive no idea how low it is at the moment but its fairly low.My trouble is i like it as it is but, i have caught the lower spoiler in a car park and its taken some paint off underneath which isnt too noticable, and im sure its catching on sppedbumps. i was wondering if there were any guards or similar devices out there to just protect the leading edge of the bumper? i was even thinking about adding my own 'shield' made from aluminium, what do others do in this situation? thanks all.:think:

you can get a armourfend which is a clear film that protects the paint from scrapes etc. Aston, ferrari etc fit it as standard to the lower bumper of their cars; when it is scraped, just tear it off and fit a new layer.

Or instead of replacing it all the time you could just get one splitter and let it get fubard.

Mine is about a year old and covered in scratches, but I don't care, it looks fine unless you look underneath it!

I'd personally rather have a lower car with a splitter than a higher one without one...

thanks everyone, EMDEE: is that the splitter in your sig? im intersted in one of those as it happens, dont fancy raising the nose up really on the car but ill see how i go, its on standard issue size tyres and crikey it needs to be, the roads in manchester are an absolute disgrace, thanks for the help everyone.

lcr splitter all the way, or be a bit different and get a different splitter, i.e. mk3 vr6? i tried a clio carbon splitter from ktec and it seemed to fit quite snugly.
