Hi Guys,

Just bought a RNS 310 off ebay and it was originally fitted in a VW. Question is can I change the boot logo to Seat.

There are many tutorials on how to change the boot logo on a RNS 510 but nothing on RNS 310 or 315.

Please advice.

Hi
I think it's difficult to do this, the RNS 510 has a hard drive, but the RNS 310 doesn't, so ipresume the boot image is stored in the flash memory.

I was under the impression that the boot screen would change accordingly to what vehicle it was fitted into?

I don't think the unit can recognize by itself what vehicle it is fitted into, on other cars like Peugeot the logo follows the VIN number that is programmed into the memory of the unit.

My friend purchased an RNS510 that had VW boot up, after a few ignition cycles in his leon it then changed to the Seat Media boot screen without having to do anything.

the 310 might be different though.

rns 510 boot logo

Hi

I have installed an RNS 510 with version 5238 into my 2006 Leon. The RNS is a Skoda Columbus RNS 510 Continental.
It all worked fine until i tried to change the Boot Logo from a Skoda Logo. I used NETDATA.be to download the SWL. I used the SETUP + Mic + EJECT and it loaded after an initial ERROR i had to download again using a different burning program on a MACBOOK.
Unfortunately the image hasn't loaded and i now have no sound coming from the speakers although it shows the DAB radio working. Nothing has changed other than no Boot Logo and no sound.

Can any one help?
