Im the same got mine and cant use the bluetooth. also some of the buttons on the steering wheel wont work "only ones that work are the volume buttons, I think the cars with bluetooth have different buttons on the steering wheel." I think its still worth the money though, Awesome bit of kit!

You can get a VW Bluetooth kit fitted or buy one off ebay

FWIW, my story is thus;

Had a 2007 Stylance without bluetooth fitted. Got a VW RNS510 vers B fitted in no bother and kept all functions on MFSW bar radio next station button (see other thread linked for full details). No bluetooth in car so BT /phone capability in RNS unit not activated.

Was able to change startup splash screen from VW to SEAT one using link here;
http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showpost.php?p=3734345&postcount=197

Now have a 2010 Facelift FR with factory Bluetooth and voice activation. RNS 510 transferred successfully from 07 Stylance to 10 FR with no issues. As FR has BT, the Bt/Phone function on RNS came up on screen automatically when connected, as does an MDI tab for the CUP/USB port. No Clock shift issues with unit either on old car with small red MFD under fuel/temp gauges or in new car with large white MFD between temp/fuel gauges.

Interestingly, and I don't know was this as a result of changing the spash screen to SEAT or fitting in the F/L FR, but the POI no longer shows nearest VW service centre but now shows nearest SEAT service centre! Anyone else noticed this?

Cheers for that dude! Think ill just leave the whole bluetooth thing, doesnt bother me that much. Mines a genuine seat RNS-510 so no need to change the logo or anything :D. Thanks for the info though!

Im guessing that you've got the VW RNS-510 then. I Bought the genuine seat one which doesnt have a SD card slot, can still copy music using cd's/dvd'c though

Yeah I got the VW version because I couldn't find a Seat one for a decent price. Glad I did now, as its got the latest maps, speed cameras, voice control and plays movies on the move.
