roof rack/bars

Hey im going camping with a fewmates in a couple of weeks in my car and have realised im gunna be in trouble for space so have decided it would be a good idea to get the roof rack but i havent really got a lot to spend on one.

My dad has a paddy hopkirk rack which i was hoping to buy new fitments for but they are stupidly expensive in places like halfords and they dont do anything specific for mk2 ibizas

So what are my options?

are there anything that will fit from polos or golfs?

they pop up on ebay from time to time, might be worth a look.

thats because paddy hopkirk are totally ****.

they never fit, the bits are expensive, and they make parts for around 5 different cars, hence they do nothing specific for you.

have a look on Ebay if your on a tight budget.

p.s "Thule" brand is the way forward

I just bought a Thule one for mine from Halfords. Came in at £100 which is probably more than you're wanting to spend but it's really nicely made and very secure on the roof, also comes with locks too...

Well worth the money i'd say, you don't want a cheap one falling off on the motorway!

they are close to me. Thought they may fit as wasnt the polo classic what the ibiza was based on?

They look pretty similar to the feet on my Thule rack although without seeing a close up pic I can't say for sure.

If its close to you then why not see if you can try it before you bid?
