Roof Rack for New Bike

just bought new bikes for me and the girlfriend, read all the old threads on this but after a year on just wanted to know what was everyones final jugement on the roof racks and which cycle carrier is best to use and value for money.

bought the carrera banshee full suspension, and a carrera vulcan for the girlfriend

Mate of mine bought a Banshee - one of the pedals ovalised the tapped hole in the crank and fell off.

He's also replaced the fork and brakes for ones that work.

That said, he did ride the Fort William downhill course on it. Depends on what you need from the bike, I suppose.
