Roof won't keep shine!

Hi all, a little help/advise needed, my Leon is met black and takes a nice shine when cleaned but after a few days the roof looses its lustre and water stops beading on it, the rest of the car is fine even after a couple of months. Any suggestions as to why or a remedy, tried a couple of different polishes and washes and this happens with them all so far. TIA.

Possibly the paint is dirty and not a good base for polishing. Try a couple of Coats of Autoglym Super Resin Polish topped off with whatever you have wax etc. If you havent clayed the paint it may be worth doing search claying on Google.

Cheers, this is along the same as my thoughts, although I was going for the easy answer of t cut on a buff followed by a machine polish.
