I had the orange coil light come on last tuesday but no reduction in power. I booked it in online and got email confirmation for my nearest dealer which was 20 miles away. I booked for today for a service and diagnostic check. I drove there today only to be told on arrival that "my colleague tried to contact you to cancel (no they didn't) as we don't do initial diagnostics on a Saturday which is manufacturers policy". Can it really be that on the day most people can actually get away from work that they don't investigate faults? Either way I ended up doing a 40 mile round trip in a faulty car for no reason. Am I alone in suffering this lunacy?

Just call your breakdown people. They will read the code and tell you what needs to be done. Saves a trip.

I tried my previously faultless code reader which gave me 1xfault and 2 pre-faults all of which showed "N/A". I went to SEAT as I usually prefer to have my servicing and repairs done by a manufacturers dealer. It was the poor treatment that annoyed me.

Can confirm they have offered me a 50% discount on my next service which is worth more than the wasted fuel. My local garage has fixed the fault.

Avoid chippenham seat..I drove 30 miles in the other direction to have my car serviced.
