I don't think there will ever be any significant proof to be honest mate.

However I was rather impatient tonight when I had a bit 'play' with my mates Ibiza Cupra TFSI. Supposed to be being sensible with 300m on the clock. Didn't last long! Then again only pushed it upto 90mph then reduced to 70mph! While on this subject it is crazy how quickly these cars pick up speed for how big they are!

I predict some fun times ahead!

Hello people,
I'm supposed to get my manual 5d Cupra 290 next week. Problem is I'll be receiving it sometime Thursday or Friday and have a 500m long trip scheduled the following Monday. During the weekend, I probably won't break the much discussed 1000m-City driving @ 2/3 engine power barrier so I'll be doing my vacation trip without the proper run in process finished. Thing is, the drive will mostly be on country roads and just the final 150m part on highway stretch. Thoughts?

Sounds perfect for running in, as country roads where you are up and down the box is just what the first 500M needs. 2/3 revs and 2/3 top speed is still quick in a Cupra, just don't labor it.
