Sat Nav Problems

has anyone else had the problem with the sat nav, that when you go start guidance and change the screen to the arrows one (havent got a clue what that screen is called) it constantly displays "OFF ROAD".

It will still calculate routes but it also seems to cause the TMC not to work, it can find your position and is recieving signals as route changes.

its a 52 plate V5 with the 2004-2005 TeleAtlas Disc

any help would be great before i go and hassle SEAT UK

I've not had this problem sorry but have a question regarding TMC.

I have a TMC enabled disc in a Dynamic nav unit but don't know whether the TMC is working or not - how do I tell?

I spoke to Blaupunkt and they said to turn 'dynamism' on (which I have) and make sure that radio is tuned into Classic FM and it will work - Is this true?

Also, do I just have to have Classic saved as one of my 6 presets or do I have to actually listen it?

Is the small ariel symbol after the dots on the TMC bit of the map display showing in red - never figured this out. Not got the variable RDS station names to work either (when they display the song name etc) so maybe a weak signal?

faulty sat nav

Ive had the same problem in my seat alhambra... its v reg, only bought it last week and bloke said he thinks it needs a new giro... it finds 28 satelites but receives 0, this morning i was driving and put my heaters on full, the sat nav started working properly... havent a clue why it only works after 10mins of heaters being on.
