Hi guys,

I was reading the FAQ for the Leon, and I noticed that the SAT NAV was discontinued after 2003. Does anyone know why this was?

Were there issues with the sat nav system on the Seat?

Cheers
James

Tomtom is a fantastic sat nav system, dont get me wrong. However im sure seat would've made a decent profit from sales of sat nav options.

£1800 for Sat nav with your SEAT, £200 for tomtom

the market just fell out of in car systems (2D as well)

it's fantastic!!!

its the best sat nav the factory fitted one, beats any tonton.......

....yep u've guessed it, i've got it fitted!!!

lol

when you spend £1,800 on sat nav it will always be the best system.... even if your alternative with £1,800 is:
tom tom,
plus remap,
plus suspension,
plus exhaust
and a two week holiday...

mmm... its clearly going to be the sat nav right?

There is no way I'd spend £1800 on it, but I would quite like it in the car.

Although for that money, you could buy a double din dash and Alpine W200 double din screen with the Alpine navigation unit and have navigation, DVD, MP3 and a bucket load of other things too :)

calm down

ppl i agree, I mantto say that i boughtthe car second hand with the system already fitted......quite rite I would not spend that much on any system like that!!

wot do u take me for....

...dnt answer that:D

I'd like to see what the sat nav system looks like

I've got an 05reg LCR and my car came with Sat Nav...

The only proplem that I find is that it doesnt have a postcode finder but I'm guessing thats down to the CD rather than the unit...

I like the look of the standard sat nav, think it finishes the dash of nicely. But if I were buying it separately to retro-fit... I'd definitely get the Alpine screen.

Also plays dvds

I believe tha someof the fitted sat navs also played dvds, I havent tried mine yet but if it did it would be a nice added bonus!!
I do agree that it finishes the dash off nicely......i'm not biased...

:D

it's awesome in the car, I've got the phatbox VW MP3 harddrive on it too. The MFD unit doesn't play DVD's - you can use an external dvd player on it though (it's excellent).
Not worth £1800, worth the £300 I paid for it though.
