Hi guys, had my Formentor 1.5 V2 DSG since April. Love the car, no issues. However annoying thing is having to disable the Lane Assist (not an issue as only 2 buttons on steering wheel needed) but need to press the View button 4 times to get the preferred dash display. Can this be setting be saved so it defers to my chosen dash screen every time I disable Lane assist. Can't find anything in handbook. Thanks

Think I've seen this asked before and seem to remember its a no!

I'm sure an obd11 can recode it to remember last use so it will stay off.

Thanks Deano, great idea. Will give it a go, I will refer to handbook on how to do that.
Pretty easy.

Swipe left to reveal 3 more tiles.
Hold finger on a tile until it shows what options are available
select smart assistants.
if lane assist is not the first thing displayed - swipe the tile up/down until lane assist is showing.

I went the OBDeleven route and have coded mine to remember the last setting ( always off )

Tried that and I don’t get a choice of smart assistants. Closest I get is vehicle which includes Parking assistant, drive profile and interior colour scheme changer.

Thanks Deano, top man, will give it a go after watching grandson playing football. ?

Hi Deano, gave it a try but same issues as Andy. M but was worth a try. Will just use screen to deactivate Lane assist in the future, it's only 3 pressies, no big deal, thanks anyway. ?

@Ian. Glasgow

You can code it out as Deano and Agnes did with OBDEleven rather than having to remember each time dapping the tile.

Option 4 on that link. That means, if you set it to remember whether it was on / off or last setting. Last setting remembers how you last had it... eg. toggled off it keeps it off between ignitions rather than defaulting back to on.

Option 4a on there is where Tell gave the other platform method but got thanked for that on the Obdeleven forum ;). Actually 4. 4a for the Tarraco.

Have a read through that and decide whether anything else takes your fancy on coding mods that work. Mostly Agnes' and Deano posts. Deano has the taillight bar on permanently, that's on the listing down there. Where to buy Obdelevel, Pro licence etc. I don't have the car but personally I code things out I don't like or code in things I like (if possible). Early Atecas ploughed their own furrow with quirky stuff... I aligned mine back to VW way of working. Seat did that a couple of years latter, adding one touch locking across models.... I'd still be holding the Kessy button for 3 seconds with shopping or weekend bags hitting the panel to lock and mirrors in. One touch locks with mirrors in... 2018 when they finally added that option to Seats / Atecas.

Thanks for the info Tell, I wasn't wanting to go down the OBD route, but appreciate the info. ?

I have 2021 BMW which has one button you can press for 10s and all assitants are off, so I just press it while driving away. And I just got 4x4 which only tech is Bluetooth for phone calls and music and rear view camera. Since I plan to keep it forever, I don't think any new VAG will be parked on my driveway in future.

Yeah. I was pointing out that Obdeleven will be doing BMW soon sk if yoh bought a NextGen one you might have a use for it. Got this email. They are looking for testers with BMWs.
