Seat Aura Radio displaying PHONE

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has come accross the Radio being stuck on PHONE?

Bought a second hand car and looks like the battery or phone kit may have been disconnected and it has defaulted to PHONE,seems to be a lot on forums of how to get rid of SAFE but nothing for PHONE

anybody got ideas?

turn it off and on again! hehe. but nah - sorry bud, all i can suggest is to reset it and punch in the code

Do i need to take to dealer for a reset or can you do this other than disconnecting battery?

If you got the code remove the battery for 5 minutes.

or just unplug the radio at the back - saves the worry of the alarm and battery reset

Alarm isn't effected and all cars with a self-learning ecu benefit from a battery reset

Sorted, if you get this problem then change the fuse behind the radio, there are 2 fuses and one had gone,PHEW! saved me a ton for a new one!!

BUMP - Hi guys - I've just bought a Toledo and I love it, apart from the same error on my Aura radio... it's fine when not moving, but as soon as the car starts to move, the sound cuts out.... and then it won't come back on again until I stop the car and turn the volume up (but only when the car isn't moving). Is this related to a speed sensor somewhere ?

When moving, the the display on the radio flicks between PHONE and whatever I am listening to (tape, cd, or radio). The volume seems to go back to 00.

I took the radio out and all the wires look ok - none are loose in the connector block. There is a 10a fuse in the back of the radio near where the connector blocks go, but I can't see any other fuses... please help as this is driving me bonkers... I have an hour commute every morning and evening and I need some music !
