Borrowed these pics off a chap on here and a more local forum - sure he won't mind. I thought it'd be rude to show you all as I didn't know they were actually out yet!

dear me :-/ really thought I'd like them... I REALLY don't. That's hidious :(... TBH - I'm not really that keen on a few NEW cars that are coming out...

I thumb'd through an EVO magazine in the shops at lunch and they were doing some silly comparision against a v6 Clio... but I couldn't believe the performance figures for the 1.4 TFSI - 0-60 in 7secs and 140 top end! Very impressive numbers for a small turbo unit - oh and it did 40mpg.

They just suffer from the v.a.g arch gap issue and too high offsets on the wheels as per. I mean their sportiest car in the ibiza range and they think 3 inches of arch gap is acceptable, makes a sporty car look like a povvo model :(

other than this i really love these cars, hopefully get to experience one one day.

ive driven that exact bocanegra. was a pretty nippy car, and the dsg gearbox and sound of it was very nice, although it just didnt feel that well made

My parents have got a Mk5 Ecomotive at the moment and it's horrible! The build quality is so much cheaper than my Mk4, the engine.......it's HORRIFICALLY loud!

Tbh, unless the Cupra is better - I think it's fair to say the Mk5 is a step down from the Mk4.

Eugh, yeah - they're still disgusting. Mk4's are really nice, nice shape, etc etc. But I'm not feeling it at all with these Mk5's...

Nice to see a red bocanegra, I definately prefer this colour. much nicer

I really like this car, i still like my mk4s but this is probably the best looker of the mk5s

Don't like that glossy black part on the front bumper :| it doesnt seem to fit there...

That gloss bit seems to work better on the white cars.

The SEAT dealer in Derby had one of these parked next to what seemed to be a bog standard Ibiza (both white 59 plates), and I was really struggling to tell the difference (apart from the words on the back!). Unless you were being overtaken by one, I can imagine most people not even realising what it is at first glance.

Then again, most new cars go for a 'corporate image' and just make different sizes of the same car. How many of you have come up to a Ford and can't tell whether its a Fiesta or a Focus? Or confuse a Corsa with an Astra?

doesnt look too bad. think its 1 of those car that will look better in the flesh then pics

White is good :)

Few subtle changes to mine over the next few weeks all being well, nothing to radical just adding a personal touch to it.
