Hi all,

I had my car remapped to 340 bhp and 450nm it's done 42,000 miles on it's existing clutch it's only had the map on for 2000 miles and now I'm getting intermitent clutch slip in 4th 5th 6th.. sometimes when I take the car out it doesn't slip at all.. any suggestions? or shall I just get it replaced? I can't find the torque specs for the standard clutch anywhere but I'm guessing it's not rated for 450nm of torque?

This really should of been expected, the standard clutches are chocolate, you’d be ok if it was a new standard clutch, it’ll last a while with a stage1, but with 40k on the clock it was probably near end of its life anyway.

Yeah thanks Fish, I was pricing up a clutch and an uprated one is £1000 all in but the stock one should set me back £500 all in.. I don't have any plans to increase the power anymore so if a replacement stock one will handle the torque and last another 20k miles i'd be happy

There’s a fair few threads on the subject here with people putting silly power into their manual Cupras and what clutch they have used. So someone will have a good suggestion soon i’m sure.
