So SEAT finally figured out that the interior trim in my FR is Dark Grey.. my question now is, is the original SEAT double din fascia any different looking to this one on ebay?

That looks like the one I waved around in the video I did, the colour match isn't awful, but not perfect and as I mentioned, the lugs are considerably bigger than the Seat panel that came out so the yellow inserts they locate to will have to come out.

I have a limited stock of the FR/Cupra double-din and RNS facias :)
£24.95 posted inc 9 retaining clips

Retaining clips? Sorry what do I do with them? I purchased the RudieMods version but the clip attached to the fascia are way too big to fit into the inserts in my car (hope that makes sense). Hence the need for the original one.

There is a ridge on the back of the facia which the clips slide on to.
They push into a corresponding groove in the dash to keep it in place.

Ohh ok, I get it. I think these clips are the ones that are too big on the ebay version for my car. How can I place the order? Do you think I'll have it by the end of this week?

Hello, dont mean to hijack a thread but i have a 57 plate leon FR, ive ordered a sony 602bt, so i popped along to seat dealer today in stoke and asked for one, they asked why so i explained what i was fitting to it, they asked what make, when i told them it was a sony the parts chap replied "but your fitting something that doesnt belong in the car"

So now im not sure if they actually do them or not, is there a part number i could quote them?
Thanks

Use sere mate, my fascia came in 2 days just as Dave said (thanks dave) and it's the exact colour I needed. Seat in Coventry and in Leicester were not helpful at all, my experience from seat dealers is exactly that so I'll be ordering parts from Dave from now on.

So are these "dark grey" in colour? Do you also have the matching heating and vent control cover? Mines covered in scratches.
Thanks
NB I think it's part nbr 1P2819110C it's the digital dual zone unit

Tell them from me that this was an outstandingly dull thing to say.
I didn't quote a part number, I just read off my VIN and they looked it up.
In fairness that was 28th April and it still hasn't arrived but they did say that it would take a long time.

The official Seat double din surround arrived today (3.5 Month wait), fitted no problems at all, the sticker on the packaging says 1P2858071A if that is any help.
I've lost track of the threads on this general subject but I can put up a picture or maybe update the Youtube video I did if any of the original people I was discussing this with are still interested.

Wonder why it took so long, I got mine really quickly. But as The_Saint said, the official surround is the way to go, mine fit in without an issue. The aftermarket ones I tried were cr*p (no matter what the supplier said about how good it is).
