I have purchased a flip key off ebay, I already have two keys, one with central locking and one without, I have read up and know if I take the transponder out of the key with no central locking and put that in my new flip key that it would start the engine.

The thing is I need it cutting, the only problem is that the places I have rung said they can't do it because I have an immobiliser, that it would need programming because of it.

No don't think so bud... I heard some Timpsons will cut the key for you, but others won't.

There's also a guy on eBay that'll cut the blade for you if you photocopy the key (though giving a guy the key pattern and your address seems silly to me?)

The transponder is the immobiliser and the key unit itself unlocks the door so long as you have the right frequency, so you should be good to go.

All as you do is

Take the transponder out of the non central locking key and put it in the flipkey

then follow the instructions for programming the key in the guide

then take the key to seat and get them to cut it

I got mine cut for free at Timpsons because they guy wasn't convinced it would work. My flip blade mod has stalled. Got a key but had a cut blade in it already. So bought a blank blade, but can't get the original blade out to put my newly cut one in. So I've sort of given up for now.

Yeah someone suggested a tiny drill bit to push it out. Haven't got anything as small as what was suggested though. Think it was 0.5mm and we only have 1.5mm as the smallest.

I know how to change the transponder and have instructions on how to program the central locking, theonly difference I can see is that the model number on mine is different to the ones that have been confirmed working, mine has 5P0 and the others seem to have IK0, will that make a difference.
