Seat Ibiza 1.2 S 2009 Problem!

Bought this wee motor on Monday of this week and having a few issues.

When sitting stationary in the car the RPM is dropping to 500 or less and then shooting back up to 1000+ again constantly, not sure whats causing this myself.

Another problem is with the lights, when switched on there is an extremely loud drone sound from the car that is constant when the lights are on as if there struggling to get power? Also not sure what the issue is.

As it was only bought its under warrenty & getting repaired by the dealership, but i would like some light shed on the problems before i take it.

Aswell, the car doesn't seem to have an MPG reading. ive looked through the booklet and it says there should be something on the end of the window wiper toggle to cycle through mpg, mile range etc but on my car theres nothing on the end of it to do so?

Can't help you with the first problem but for the part regarding MPG reading AFAIK from what I've read on here, the S models don't have a trip computer although I think this was recitified in the 2012 facelift models.

Thanks for the response, so there's no option to check anything like that out? Guess I can just work it running a tank of fuel through and see roughly many miles I'm getting. Cheers!
