Afternoon,

I was just wondering what mpg people have managed out of theirs. I've just hit 42 MPG around town today and the car has 250 mile on the clock.

Does anyone know if it will get better than this ?

i get 35mpg best at the moment lol
but yea it will get better once the engine has worn in,
im only at 1800 miles and mine still isnt bedded in yet!

plus should get better once the weater picks up

I don't understand your measurments ,but I can tell you my personal best out of town - 4.8L/100km average!

In the city about - 7-7.5L/100 km (depends on traficjams).

Outside - 5.5-7l/100km (depends on your style of driving).

If you exceed 130km/h - the fuel consumption goes to 8-9L/100km....

I have 1.4 SC sport, 30 000 km already passed (I am about to change all filters and I will tell you the performance afterwards - I hope for optimization)

Book for urban is about 35mpg, seen ave of 42mpg as a norm on customers cars.

300 miles for first full tank of fuel on mine.

400 miles on clock.

When i had a courtesy1.4 Ibiza(5 door,though) for a day i got 40 MPG on moderately congested A10,while the Cupra manages around 35 MPG on the same route.It already had several thousand miles on the clock,the whole cabin was rattling,the pedal compartment was cramped and the engine and gearbox were shocking after the Cupra,but it rode better and had good grip and body control for a family car.

I have1.4 and use it has a Driver Training car it has done 20000mls and dependent on type of training averages between 37 and 48, when doing a Eco-driving session even been known to get over 50.
