Seat Ibiza 1.9 tdi 130 pd engine

Hi looking for some help please bought a seat Ibiza 1.9 tdi 130 got the pd engine do in bought the car the other nyt and the seller was saying the fuel gauge wasn't working was a common fault and easy fix so I bought the car stupid me! And took the clocks out to see if I could see if there was a problem I noticed where the fule guage is at the back look like it was bit burned like the solder came away so I put a bit of copper cable in there see if that fixed it but a bit of smoke came out of the panel now I don't have any dash board lights and when I try to start it it starts for couple seconds then cuts out. Can I buy new clocks from scrap yard and put them in? Can't find any that has the voltage meter clock with the oil temp clock anywhere in the scrap yard can someone help me please thanks in advance its a 03plate

You can buy them from a scrapyard but a seat service centre has to install it as the new instrument cluster needs to be synced with the car

Hi thanks for the reply I got clocks from a seat Ibiza 57 plate tdi but they don't have the oil or battery dial on them can they be used if I take them to a seat garage ?

Do they still have 160 mph on them similar to your old cluster?

No there just 140mph put them in and got lights and that but starts for couple seconds and cuts off

You need the Immobiliser re-programming.

When you said they are from a 57 plate TDI was it a PD100 or PD130?

Hi don't know it only had 5 gears if that helps? But was a tdi a car symbol is showing up with a key flashing

Yes, you need the the correct software to program the cluster or ECU.

Where are you located?

5 Speed means it's a PD100 not sure if that has a speed sensor on gearbox or hub, speedo may not work.

You need Vag Commander or Vag Tacho and VCDS.
