Seat Ibiza 2001 1.4 SE

Hi

I hope I am posting in the correct place, if not hopefully one of the admins will move by post.

I recently purchased a Seat Ibiza 1.4 2001 Car in september, It is now flashing the service light, so the first question is does any one know of any Seat specialists in Sheffield? That they recommend!

Secondly does anyone know how often the Timing Belt needs changing, as far as I am aware it has not been changed yet, It has 45K on the clock and has a full service history, Does anyone know the price for a service and to change the timing belt if it was required.

1st of all welcome to scn

i've never herd of anywere in sheffield that do it but at the end of the bypass you have autoworld which is a seat dealer or jbs might be a little bit expensive thought tbh

Dont know too much about cars to be honest, will any local garage be good enough to do the service then for a lot cheaper?

yea they should do tbh and you want to have a look at gettin your water pump done as its a common fault for them to come

on a small side note there is a meet in chesterfield on the 31st come and meet some new people and learn abit more about your car

Ah okay iLl have a think about the pump. Is it usually expensive and what does it do how would I notice a problem.. Maybe I will come on the 31st

If the water pump goes it can lead to the car overheating all sorts of problems tbh
when they do change it you want the metal proppeler one if you deicded to have it done

i got a quote from a garage near me for £160
