Hi fellow Seat drivers!
I come to your forum with an unfortunate story - I hit a deer in my beloved Ibiza, it caused significant damage to a lot of the front but thankfully most of it cosmetic. For the poor deer on the other hand, the damage was not just cosmetic. RIP.
I am trying to decide whether to go through my insurance company to repair the damages (I have a £500 excess) or whether I should try and source the replacement parts myself from breakers yards or ebay etc.
Trouble is, my Ibiza is a special edition, the Black Edition, to be precise. It came with a factory fitted body kit meaning the front bumper which I need to replace is very rare.
I am unable to post links as I'm a new member to your site, otherwise I would show you pictures of the difference between the two models.
Does anyone know where I can find the right bumper? I have been searching all over the internet with no luck. I have been told by some colleagues of mine that if I do go through my insurance, they may deem the bumper too difficult to get hold of and write the whole car off. I've since found an article stating that Seat only ever produced 250 of Black Editions.
Looking forward to hearing any suggestions!
Thanks,
Tom
