Hi guys
i have a question to make it. I believe that the right oil for seat ibiza cupra 1.8 2016 is 5 30 , 504 / 507..
I had my oil changed about a week ago and i saw that they put in 5 30 but with 505 / 501 specs.. I noticed that this is used in TDI engines..
I did some reseach on web and they mention that its better to use 5 30 , 504 / 507 for better fuel economy and lower carbon from valves can some one tell me exactly what is the best option?
is it ok to use the car with 5.30 , 505/505.01 oil?

thank you

Hello!
I don't think 5.30 , 505/505.01 is the right oil.

I use LongLife III FE.
Sae 0W-30 VW 504 00 /507 00

I found the info on the manual of the car and also confirmed with the mecanic.
Changed oil 2 times with this, had no problems with it, the engine runs well.
From my understanding the carbon buildup has mostly to do with the type of fuel you use and i only use 98 or 100 to prevent that.
I try to change the oil as often as posible and to top it off, i think if you do that you dont have to worry about carbon buildup.

What fuel consumption do you have, i am curious?
I do have high consumption, 12% on average city driving.
