Might have been the width rather than the weight.

That may have had something to do with it, although they were 205's on the front, so same width?

thanks guys...really appreciate all the help your giving me as i'm still a newbie and also only 17 and drove my ibiza for the 1st time today.

Shall reconsider about the alloys then, also what else do you reccomend i do to my ibiza? have a few ideas in mind but always open to some more

18's will fit, you will have to have low pros and the uncomfiest ride known to man though.
So stick to 17'

yeh i didnt mean he couldnt put on 18s, was just going for the comfort reason like your said lol.
