Hello
I have a Seat Ibiza 1.2 12v model 2002(mk4). It has 140000km and it started to lose power... So i am asking if there is anything i can do to power it up a bit. I haven't done any changes-modifications to it,only the servises. A friend of mine told me that by changing tires and alloy wheels or putting a good filter i might get some power. What size of tires and alloy wheels do you think will be the best choice? Is there anything else i can do? Any cheap options???
Thank you in advance

wheels and tyres will make no difference to increase the power of your car, if anything, depending on what type you get, they will decrease power with extra weight! Sounds more like your car needs a full service to clean it all out which will include new filters

I will change the filters on the next service. Something else? I found something on ebay but don't know if it works. You can search it ''Tuning SEAT Leon Ibiza Altea Cordoba Toledo Alhambra'' because i can't post url...
Will it damage the car?? Will it make any difference to it??

You sure you've not just got used to the power and find it a bit wanting at times because you expect better? Where are you located? could be a fault somewhere that a VAG-COM scan would reveal...?

Well on my way to work i everyday have to drive up a hill (about 2km long) and i can feel the car losing speed and power. I run a diagnostic on a Seat service center and checked a lot of things but nothing wrong came up. Don't know anything about the VAG-COM scan you say but i will ask about it. Thanks again and sorr for my English, i am from Cyprus...

Haha, okay. Well, VAG-Com is basically a commercial version of the diagnostic equimpent in Main Dealers. If you've been to the main dealer, it's highly doubtful vag-com would find anything else. How long ago was your last service?

i think 1500Km until next service, not much. Maybe the service will solve the problem,i hope so... Those tuning boxes on ebay promising to give some hp to the car will make any good to my car?
