Can someone help me understand why this green bar is not full and just half way through? I had it full for past few months and just curious why is it only halfway through? is it because of the temperature or are there any variable factors affecting the battery? also is it good or is it bad? and how reliable are these ehybrid phev cars? I just got this car about 7-8 months ago (had 35k miles when i got it, drove around 10k miles in it and have not had a single issue yet) and this is my first phev car. i had regular IC cars before but not a hybrid.

I've got the Cupra Leon hybrid (245) and I think that bar shows the recovery potential of the car - how much you can regenerate in it's current state. I think what it's telling you is that if you sit idling it won't be able to get to 100%. If you keep an eye on that bar you'll see the thicker of the 2 move when you rev the engine (in P, push down the accelerator to the floor or go into the battery settings part and ask it to regenerate to start the engine). It'll do the same when you brake or ease off.

As for reliability I've had mine coming up 2 years and it's had only one instance when it lit up like a Christmas tree but that was down to needing a software upgrade. I've gone through tyres like they're going out of fashion. The puddle light lenses have gone wonky but they're being fixed under warranty in a fortnight. Other than that it's been hassle free fun motoring. Cupra mode is a laugh!
