Hi good folks,

Are there known parameters for locking the differential mechanism, when exactly does it start to work?
Is it certain speed and / or angle of front wheels? Is it amount of pressure I apply on the gas pedal? Is it all?

I like it so much when the car is turning "flat", even there are DDC and anti-roll bars, but it can be felt immediately, when there's a lock and when there is none.

Any tips?

Also - how the tiredness sensor is working? What is it checking? Camera on my face? Some behavior patterns?

Thanks.

If you have access to OBD11/ VCDS / Carista and maybe others it is possible to change the settings on the diff.

The options it gives you are Standard, Increased traction or Reduced Noises, I have always had mine set to Increased traction and when I first did it I did notice a big difference in the way it handled the corners.

With regards to the input parameters for this have a read of this https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-eurocars/vws-vaq-diff-explained/30560 hopefully will give you what you want.

tiredness sensor no camera that I am aware off rather it sees how you driver and compares to what is in range.
I have had my car for 4 years and in that time I have only ever had the warning up once.

Thanx.

Rather for reconfiguring the differential lock, I wanted more to understand when it works. Will read the link you gave, thanx again :)
