Seat leon cupra 280 - ECU update

Hi, I have a question regarding my cupra280 everytime I switched to Sport or Cupra mode while in neutral or parked nothing happens.
Rpm wont go high or showing S unless I put the gear to D.

Is it something regarding the Ecu soft limit update?

I'm going to presume that if the gearbox is in P/N the car will never raise the RPM as it would be wasting fuel with no benefit. Only worth doing that when the car is in a ready position to engage the clutch and move.
