Seat Leon Cupra R 225 - Stage One Remap

I'm considering remapping my LCR to a Stage 1, but contemplating weather i would require a Turbo back exhaust system or would the OEM would be compatible.

My Current Mods are Forge 007P DV, Forge TIP & and a Jabbasport Induction Kit (K&N) with Heat Shield.

Advice from the experienced LCR owners would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks ;)

Stage 1 - Standard exhaust is just fine bud.

Stage 2 - Requires a turbo back exhaust. Sports cat with cat back or decat with cat-back.

Stage one maps are generic, meaning they are designed to work with a car out from straight out the factory.

Stage two's are custom, and suited to cars which already have the supporting mods in place..
If you were to get a full turbo back exhaust you could happily run a stage 2 map on your car just fine with the current mods.

Front mount intercoolers aren't essential, but you will get the best out of a mapped car running higher power when under high boost... I have all stage 2 mods including fmic and kick out anywhere between 280-300bhp depending on the weather really. Mine wouldn't make 300 now on the rollers because the ambient temps have gone up and turbocharged cars naturally suffer some performance loss. The 300.5bhp was made on a cold day in February.

Plenty of bits of LCR info in my reader's ride. Link in my sig if you have the time! Lol.

i would say your ready for stage 1 mate
like tom said stage 1 is good on an OEM car BUT i would say there is mods to get for stage 1 to work propperly!!
uprated diverter varlve - oem prone to fail once pushed, (or not) = done
uprated air filter - paper one just wont cut it really = done
uprated tip - oem one will colapse under pressure (trust me it does...) = done

i my self would say that would be all thats recomended for stage one (IMO)
i have stage 1 along with 007p and spring spacer, uprted filter (i have a few to pick from), autobahn88 tip, N75 H, a few tweeks had been made by the mapper and im running around 268bhp

Nice one Tyrer, I think I will uprate the coilpacks and dogbone as one of my mate did so on his LCR and gave a significant performance gain.

My only scenario Is which remap company would I consider. Having read counterless reviews, the only two that cut it for me is Jabba Sport & Custom code.

Anyone who has had these Maps would be kind to share your experiences.

Thanks again fellas ;)

Awesome Gti have the red ones, they have no recorded fails as of yet.

So far so good for me

They are the revised ones that are being put in the recalls from the R32s, Gti's mate. Was speaking to a VW parts fellah telling me about them apparently used in the RS4s, then Blue ones are from the RS6s - R32 owners using them

Could be sales patter but I went through 2 within a day of my remap and one was brand new. Since switching to these I have had no problems... Touch wood

tyrer,
are these red coilpacks the same NGK ones your talking about?
any links....

There's nothing saying they are uprated on Awesome's site:

"Dress up your engine bay with these Red colored coil packs

Add a some style to your engine bay with these Genuine VAG ignition coils. Includes a set of 4 coils to fix your mis-fire problems and add some color to your engine bay in one easy step."

Just that they are Genuine VW and painted Red?

As I said could be all sales patter mate, all I know is I lost 2 after my map - 1 was less than 3 weeks old, these have been added and I feel start up is much stronger and have had no reliability issues yet. So if they are the revised versions then I'm happy, if they are red coloured and old versions I am happy as they were cheaper than going to VW/Audi.

Just on Awesome Gti sales pages for all interested in them and the 'bumpf' is above as posted by richybigman.

Either way mate I'd get 4 new Coilpacks when you map!

Oh and I have changed my 4th post as I am flippantly throwing words around without hard evidence so made it more friendly to all.

slighty off topic tom , but are you running wmi ? cause i never seen a k04 run 300 or even 280 without wmi
