Hi all,

I've recently picked up a 2024 (74 plate) Leon FR 1.5 eTSI DSG and I'm looking into what can actually be retrofitted to these cars.

Mine was manufactured in January 2024 and has a fairly decent spec already, including:
  1. Full LED headlights (non-Matrix)
  2. Winter Pack (heated front seats and steering wheel)
  3. Front and rear parking sensors with Park Assist
  4. Reversing camera
  5. Full wraparound ambient lighting
  6. Digital cockpit and navigation
  7. Front Assist and Lane Assist
  8. Standard cruise control
  9. Electric folding mirrors
I've checked the factory equipment codes through carVertical and can see it has the multifunction front camera (QK1), Front Assist (8J3) and standard cruise control (8T6).

There's a few things I'd ideally like to add:

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – This is the main one I'm interested in.

Side Assist / Blind Spot Monitoring

KESSY Advanced / Keyless Entry

Traffic Sign Recognition

From what I've read, the Mk4 uses the MQB Evo platform, and retrofitting isn't quite as straightforward as it was on the older Leons.

I'm particularly curious about ACC, as the car already has Front Assist. Does anyone know whether the existing radar can be used for ACC, or would it need replacing along with additional coding and software activation?

I'm also trying to work out whether my car has standard SFD or SFD2 protection. Given that it was built in January 2024, I'm hoping it's the former, but I haven't had a diagnostic scan done to confirm.

Has anyone successfully retrofitted any of these features to a Mk4 Leon, particularly a 2023/2024 model?

I'd also be interested to hear if there are any other useful features that can be enabled or retrofitted using genuine SEAT/VAG parts.

I'm based in Yorkshire, so if anyone knows any decent UK specialists who work on MQB Evo cars, recommendations would be appreciated. Rough prices would also be helpful.

Cheers!
