Hi - Looking for some help if possible.

I have accidentally somehow scraped the top of my seat leon mk4 FR wing mirror and some of the top of the paint has come off the passenger side - I am due to the sale the vehicle in the next few months and wondered if anyone knew the colour code for the wing mirror cover in the attached photo of the vehicle. It is a Magnetic Grey Leon FR but the wing mirror is a different colour almost like a ligh grey. I know I can take off the wing mirror but was hoping to avoid doing that as I know I will end up breaking something on the mirror.

I hvae attached a picture of the car (including the wing mirror). I hope someone else has managed to find the colour code for it here!! Thanks for your help in advance.

Best bet here is to check it in the parts catalog using your car's VIN.
It may or may not contain the paint code of that grey but it's worth checking, I believe.
Send me your VIN via a PM and I'll take a look.

As @serdar_18fr says, paint code might not be quoted for the wing door mirror caps - it often isn’t for parts that are painted a contrasting or complementary colour to the car’s body colour. The same applies to the paint code for alloys wheels; also often not provided.

I dare say if you were to buy a new replacement mirror cap, it would come in a primered state and would then need painting, so you’d still have the issue of colour matching the new mirror cap to the undamaged one (probably not worth doing this if damage to your existing mirror cap is relatively minor). A good, reputable car body shop would probably have the technology though to scan the paint colour and mix new paint to match the OEM colour,

Other options to consider;
  • get both mirror caps vinyl wrapped.
  • get a SMART repair carried out by a company such as Chips Away. There are usually quite a few local independent companies in most parts of the UK who carry out smart paint repairs, so worth doing some research to find a company with good reviews.
  • get a body shop to repaint the mirror cap (more expensive than a SMART repair).
  • if you’re proficient with using DIY paint rattle cans, you could repaint both door mirror caps yourself in a similar colour to the current colour, or paint them the same colour as your car.
  • try an source a replacement in the same colour as yours from a car breakers.

Hi @SeatLeonFRDaddy @SRGTD

67E looks like the paint code of your mirror caps.
Aftermarket paint shops may call it L67E and its name is Cosmos Grey Matt Metallic.
Below is the screenshot of the information.
Hope this helps & cheers,
Serdar
