Hi everyone,

New member and first time SEAT owner in the near future. Will be picking up my new SEAT Leon SC FR 180 in the next week or so and cannot wait! :D

Ended up purchasing an ex demonstrator as I got a very good deal which suited my budget and also meant I don't have to wait a long time for a brand new car. The spec is...

Nevada White
18" Performance Alloy Wheels
Alcantara Sports Seats
Tech Pack
Convenience Pack
Winter Pack
Driver Assist Pack
SEAT Sound System
Space Saver Spare Wheel

Too say I'm excited is an understatement, ordered a couple of weeks back and its turning out to be a very long 3 weeks . Trading in my Ford Fiesta ST which will be sorely missed.

Would be interested in hearing about anything I should look out for in the first few months of ownership? Any common faults that have cropped up yet?

Would also like to hear from other members who have the SC or the 1.8, seemed like a cracking motor when I got to test drive it!

Have been reading the forums for a few weeks now and looking forward to reading more about the car!

Will post pictures when I collect the car.

welcome to the demonstrator club, I also bought a demo with 5k miles on and a similar spec but not the alcantara interior.

some times it pays to be in right place right time, I went on the car configurator and built what I have and was well happy with what I got for myself

Glad I'm not the only one who bought an ex demo, cannot wait to pick her up! Like a kid at Christmas.

The car is nearly the exact spec I wanted, the only differences are Nevada White instead of Alor Blue and I wasn't fussed about the Driver Assist Pack, but it's on the car so I'll take it!

The car is only 2.5 months old, has about 1500 miles and I got somewhere between £5-6k off list. So very happy overall.

Knowing the way I have driven the demo car: pushing it to the limit without waiting for it to warm up... And all other people probably doing the same since the very beginning without running in the engine. I wouldn't buy a demo car. But who knows, modern engines are tough and should withstand that kind of torture hopefully.

Each to their own at the end of the day - I've known people who have bought demo cars in the past and not had an issues whatsoever. I've also known people who've bought brand new cars and had no end of trouble with them.

Whether it is an ex demo or brand new car, I think there is very little difference in the likelihood of having problems. And anyway, the warranty is there to cater when things do go wrong if needs be.

Have bought new this time because of the 0" finance but have had 2 demo cars in the past and have never had a problem with any of them and made big savings, just think that modern engines are much more advanced than they used to be.

On order, 1.8fr Tsi manual, Black, 18" Wheels, Tech Pack, Convienance Pack, Seat Sound, Led light pack, Driver Assist. should be picking it up this week:D

Exactly my point, I'm certainly not phased by the fact it is an ex demo. If anything was to go wrong, I wouldn't put it down to that either!

Glad to see that you've gone for an almost identical spec to me - wise choices

Managed to get a couple of pictures yesterday and thought I'd share. Unfortunately, I've already done over 200 miles so she's getting a little dirty ;)
