i thought that a remap would be the last thing to do after all breathing mods from the cupra adaptor, panel filter, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, down pipe, through exhaust system (as i have just found out i don't need a cat)???
i know that each individual mod doesn't yield much gain, but collectively it surely would make a difference?
Yes normally you are right but think of it this way.
Say your stock manifold can flow 300cm3/minute of air.
With a basic remap at 180bhp the manifold only needs to flow 200cm3/minute of air
With hybrid turbo VT2 and remap at 230hp it need to flow 250cm3/minut of air.
With Uprated injectors,VT5,CDA airfilter (which is alot better then a panel filter)and everything else done to it at 250ish bhp it needs to flow 300ish cm3/minute of air.
Get the idea ?
