just be careful when cleaning leather that the dye does not come off I have seen this happen before even on the good stuff......

it is very nice ..... I just do not trust leather knobs anymore.....

but do you think the idea is good ?

Got mine today:

Fit like a glove and i love it. This is the PN I used 5P 1 064 322 A. Same as what D.K posted above.

Sorry to drag up an old thread guys, but is this easy to fit?

Not hard, just fiddly. Make sure you have some pliers and a couple of tie wraps at hand. Use the tie wraps to replace the stock clip[ holding the knob on.

Yeah very easy to fit took me about 5-10min as said above you will need to use tie wraps to replace the standard clip that comes with knob.

could someone with the carbon knob tell me the diameter of the outer part of the silver part that says seat sport?

also how wide the carbon is (diameter) at the widest point,
