Thats the Ibiza Cupra that is. ;) It won't quite look as dazzling i fear once the accountants have been at it. But the basic shape and bumper designs i think will probably remain.

It's genuinely one of the most exciting looking SEAT concepts in a while., in my humble opinion. Looking forward to seeing how this reflects on models yet to come.

Sadly there is no mention of chassis configuration. Looks like we are now gonna have to wait till may for the finished product. Reckon the car would look better with 18's though and with it then inturn sitting lower.

I also hope the cupra does not get a 1.4 Turbo.

Wow so this will be the new biza huh.Looks very nice. The cupra will be much better than the leon.I think it will worth the wait

kinda liking that... been looking very hard in other directions for the mk4's successor, but Im now intrigued as to how that will actually roll off the line.

:)

I think for 3 doors you'll be waiting a bit longer than May. But we'll see, no doubt.

Certainly no sporty models will grace the Ibiza for 12months, going off previous form they don't rush them to the market.

The 5 door, i think may not work as well as the 3 door (coupe).

Just done a quick photoshop of how the new Ibiza Cupra should look.

The car does look stunning. I cant wait to see it in full production spec.

Well I would expect that to be the new Ibiza or fairly similar as we found out the 7 speed is going to be avaiable when the new ibiza gets launched soon. Would be nice if they kept the spec of the brakes the same as the image but doudt it very much. I still cannot understand WHY they spend millions on designing concept cars when only a VERY small percentage go into production and when they do they look really nothing like the concept version???

That's because designers get the hump if their visions are constricted by financial interference. So they get to let their hair down on the Concepts, and give the company some in your face pr.

then the accountants step in, and tell them what they can really make a profit on. :)

I think that the outlook will be the same.Probably only the dashboard will be different. If they put 200 bhp diesel in it i will buy one for sure.

Seeing as its going to be based on the A1, reckon it'll have Quattro? ;)

I'm speechless, if it looks like that then I'll snap out of leaving SEAT in 2 years. Wow!

Ditto - that really is a stunner ..... i could even be tempted back into a 'smaller' car!

I said the same to m0rk, i could be tempted into a smaller car. Not that i dislike my Leon by any stretch, but I'm really excited by the new direction.

But its not a radical change. I think they have kept a lot of current SEAT design in the car, but made it a bit more angular an aggressive. You can see the Lamborghini influences coming through. :)

The B segment car due in 12 months or so, will reflect this concept and be Audi A4 sized, that could well be a serious looker.

Will have to see what else comes out but at the moment there's nothing in the SEAT range to get me out of the Mk1. I just love the overall shape, i can see Focus, Civic Type R etc and bits of the R8 - it's just a shame the concept designs get watered down by the beancounters :(

Bit like the Vauxhall Antara concept, the concept was a peach - the final to market product was nowhere near as nice.

I can see the rear quarter panel loosing the very high waistline, the front bumper being tamed....

but that's about it for a Cupra

cooking models will be 5 door I'm sure... they would be nuts to offer a 3 door in crap engines.

Even with a younger market being in the market for something non family orientated? I suppose it's one way to stop people making a 1.4 into a Cupra - if you can only get a Cupra in 3 door or do you think they'd offer a choice at that point.

That said if you build most of your cars to order you could concievably order whatever you wanted?

not very interseting but a Bocanegra is a shark of some 90 cm of long found in the meditteranean sea

still not convinced:shrug:
modern cars are starting to look 'samey', i see type R, VXR et al.
funny how a lot of people on here slated the corsa VXR for looking like a Halfords special & yet because this is a SEAT it's OK?
