You can get a separate sub-frame onto which you bolt a third party seat - I had one in my Ibiza when I fitted my Corbeau seat. Got it from Demon Tweaks from memory?

I think that is the route that I am going to have to go down. Im looking around a few places for them.

What were you planning mate? :)

Well I have a set of FK sport seats to go in and they came supplied with a set of runners, so I was hoping I could dismantle the seats and use the lower part of it and put the runners onto them and fit them that way.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but after creating a wanted add someone (Athers) had a suggestion and Ive had a think about it and it could possibly work/be possible.

Sorry about the diagram, had to use paint as thats all thats available at work. Do you think it would be possible and still have full use of the standard slide/height adjustment systems?

I am planning on taking some measurements from my FK seats over the weekend to see if it is possible.

Measure old seats height from frame, then same from new seat (well where frame would be) if about the same, sounds like a plan, if not then might need adjusting as might be too high like mike said

Thanks for the input guys. Like I said Im going to take alot of measurements from both the old seats and the new seats and take it from there.

Looking at that picture again I could put the box section from left to right across the width of the seats aswell. Could always weld it in slightly lower to see if that would help with the height.
