bought myself a new headunit today. Fits in nicely all apart from the fact that im not able to secure it to the dash so sum little **** cant just slide my tray out and run off with my cd player

Did a search bout this and couldnt find anything. Please excuse my ignorance if there is info and im being thick.

Anyone any tips on how i can get at the back of my cd player and secure it to the dash? Have tried with no luck. Thanks

i had the same problem when i had a 106 i just took the rubber stopper off at the back and tried my best to tuck all the wires back down behind the dash where they came from

alot of stuffing of all the cables running from the back of mine and alot of swearing to make the cage click in place! A bit of help, have the headunit in the bottom slot instead of the top, take out the empty din slot turn it upside down and put it in the top and then you have a bit more space at the back to fit all the wires in. The other bonus is you can then use the cupholder without it getting in the way of the headunit controls.

Sorry if I mis-understood your issue, but don't you just remove the Cage from your new Stereo, then slot the cage into the slot in the dash and bend the metal pieces up/down. So the Cage is then 'locked' into the dash.

Then you push your new stereo into the Cage and it'll lock in place, once its slotted right in ??
