Seems like TFSI 185 PS dissapeared from pricelists

Well, I looked on UK, German, international and domestc (Croatian) sites - TFSi Stylance 185 PS is dissapeared, seems like discontinued model.


Gentlemen, owners of TFSI185, seems like we are in possesion of future classic:

the "evolutionary link" between "plain" leons and FR....

Begs the question, what was the point really. No doubt VW had something to do with this.

It's because the FR wasn't developed in time for the launch - but (and I mean no disrespect) if you pull out the 2.0 TFSi, there wasn't exactly another Petrol model that anyone would have bought.

Two words: "stop gap". Since 60% of MK1s were the sporty variants they had to have something for us petrolheads to buy. Wonder why it's taken Seat so long to get the new FR and Cupra out? The Octavia Vrs and Golf GTI have been out for ages but VAGs "sporting brand" has naff all (apart from the limited edition TFSI)... Maybe they'll learn their lesson when it's time for the Mk 3 Leon........

Didn't the new Octavia vRS come out the beginning of his year? Thats nearly 18 months after the launch of the new Octavia. lookslike ot will be about the same timescale for the new Leon Cupra

Yes, I've just been checking on that and as far as I can see the Octavia Mk2 was introduced in May 2004 and the vRS followed in January 2006. The Mk5 Golf came out in February 2004 and the GTi followed in October 2004. So if the the Mk2 Leon went on sale in August 2005 and the FR follows in July 2006, SEAT are not doing too badly, especially since the FR TDi should be out before the vRS diesel.

Hopefully SEAT are using the time to make sure it's a great drive!
