So my Abs and Esp lights have been coming on and off for awhile now and finally got my OBD cable to check out the problem and this is what it found

01279 - Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor (G251)
008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

Now the problem is, where the hell is this sensor !?

The Car is Seat Leon Cupra 2.8l 4wd

Help is much appriciated!

At a guess i would say its part of the ecu if not somewer near the centre of the car low down possibly under centre console will probably b a little box

i was hopeing for some pictures or something cause i dont even know what it looks like.

also anyone happend to know the part number of it ?

Happen to have any pictures i can look at to get the idea ?
Also how do i know wich one of em is broken !?

gah. i hate electronic parts...

In my old S3, if the glovebox was removed (RHD) there was a bracket attached to the end of the dash beam with the longitudinal sensor in and seemed to be a common failure
in the UK the LCR (with ESP) had all 3 sensors amalgamated into one unit at the base of the steering column

So, is the faulty one behind the glovebox or at the steering column ?

And ile add that my cars got the steering wheel on the left side of the car (cheers from Finland) and i cant find the part number anywhere on the internet so i could check out prices and see what the sensor looks like!

Hi, Did you found out about this? I'm also having this fault code on my OBD.
I have also seen that they are either under the steeringwheel or behind the glove compartment.

I also have a fault code whitch say 00778 Stering angle sensor (G85) Does that meen that my steeringwheel is out of line? I see that my steeringwheels is a bit to much to right when I drive stright forward.

Thank you

EDIT: I do also have a LHD.
