Guys i know that the bolt is M10X70mm but what is the thread size? 1.0 1.25 1.5 ? How to check that if i have that bolt that needs to fit into that?
Sorry for daft questions guys.
If you havnt got a pitch gauge then a trick we used to use was to roll the bolt on a piece of paper. This would leave an impression of the thread on the paper like IIIIIIIIIIIIIII.
Then mark the first line, measure from that 30 mm and make another mark.
Then count the lines, if the pitch is 1.5 you should have exactly 20 lines from mark to mark.
Alternatively take the bolt to somewhere that sells nuts and get them to find you a nut that fits.
Or maybe someone with EKTA on here could check that for you, VAGCAT doesnt seem to be working at the moment.
You can get extra length insert, normally 1.5 times the diameter is the norm, but you can get longer - these for example. Hope the ebay link is ok in this situation.
