Come to down an oil change this months on my fr 1.8tsi and found the service manual has no information at all to do with oil volume or type. I found out through a friend at a garage it takes 5.2 litres and am going to run 5w-30. Really annoying seat dont supply this info. What oil filter should i buy just the one from eurocarparts? Also what else should i service if its gonna get a full service from the garage in July may not bother spark plugs they also dont have any info. Its as if seat don't want me to take care of my car, even if its just needing a top up of oil still not told.
Help? Ta. Rant over

What service are you doing? how many miles? if the dealer's is doing a "full" service in 5/6 months, why are you bothering.

Done 7k since last service never serviced my car before so thought bw good fun n practice. Its cheap enough so why not

erwin.seat.com looks like it could be a useful site. I am always cautious about registering any details online. Is it likely that I could be inundated with junk mail or encounter fees?
Are there any drawbacks to registering on this site?

I've had no issues with junk mail after registering on erwin. There are fees to pay, you have to buy some timed access if you want to make full use of the information. But the info can be saved as a PDF etc. and I managed to get everything I needed in 1hr.
