What a pain In the arse of a job this was! I felt like I wanted to take hammer to the engine bay lol.

Things I've noted with the oversized tip if anyone is interested....

1. Vacuum line at the bottom of the OEM is half way up the oversize one and a pain to get into a nice position
2. The DV sits higher and further left than normal, I had to reverse it to get a better fit
3.N75 sits a bit higher and further back
4. Hockey Puck sits further left and back but is quite close to the DV
5. It was a little short so couldn't put my air box back on so until I get a small extender I've had to stick the induction kit on

I'd recommend getting some new pipes as well rather than cutting the OEM ones to compensate for the position changes (next job) but I'm damn happy it's done!

Nice job mate, really not looking forward to it lol will do it when changing the turbo so hopefully access will be a bit easier. How much short is it from reaching the airbox? What's the 4th hole up at the top, there's do, n75, hockey puck and what's the other one? Are you meaning the dv and n75 hoses when your suggesting getting new ones?

Took it for a cheeky blast today to see if i could pop off the jubilee clip on the turbo :p
Boost feels smoother through the rev rang, turbo sound a bit quieter, spools up quicker....it was worth all the pain and swearing lol

As for replacing the pipes, it'd get new ones for the DV and whatever the vaccum pipe is from the bottom of the existing turbo intake pipe. You'll probably need some for the hockey puck too, n75 seems fine.

As for that forth hole, I have a hard line tube that runs down the front of the block, not sure what it's for. It's probably vaccumm for the SAI or something.

If these TIPs are custom made then why do they not fit properly? I was going to get one of these but not if it doesn't fit the standard air box

Custom made my arse!!! Mine does fit, just. Needs to be bent forwards to get onto the MAF and the jubilee holding it onto the MAF needs to be pretty tight or it will slip off. Haven't had any problems with it so far though. Just a case of whether you are happy bending it to reach, I can't see a problem as its the very large squishy top part of it that is getting bent about and, well, it's made of silicone! See photos below, first one is how it lay naturally and second is it pulled over onto the MAF (it isn't on properly as this was only a mock up). Maybe if they are indeed "custom made" then some will be slightly different, I know some people go on about trimming them or they don't fit, I didn't trim mine.
